The stay-at-home pandemic order seeks to save all our lives.
It is true that staying at home causes much economic hardship.
It is not asking us to die for others, but to suffer so that all
may be spared sickness and death.
A new commandment I give to you,
that you love one another; even as I have loved you, that you also love one
another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you have love
for one another. [John
13:34-35]
Greater love has no man than
this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. [John 15:13]
But if any one
strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also; and if anyone would
sue you and take your coat, let him have your cloak as well; and if any one
forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. [Matthew 5:39-41]
Love your enemies. [Matthew 5:44]
Turn. Love. Repeat.
